Austin, TX – Scott Remmenga ID’d as US 290 Crash Victim
Austin, TX (September 19, 2019) – The victim killed in a collision on US 290 has been identified by the Austin Police Department.
At approximately 8:42 a.m. on September 13, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 290 WB. Reports from police indicate that 54-year-old Scott Remmenga was traveling west on US 290 on a Honda Silverwing Motorcycle. At the same time, a white 2016 Toyota Tundra was traveling parallel to him.
The driver of the Toyota attempted to make a left turn from the wrong lane. During his attempt, the vehicle struck Remmenga.
Remmenga was transported from the scene of the accident to Dell Seton Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation with the Austin Police Department’s Vehicular Homicide Unit.
