Car Accidents in Austin
In 2015, statistics showed that approximately 499 of fatal car accidents that occurred in Texas were caused by drunk drivers. Most alcohol-related accidents take place on weekends after midnight. Drunk drivers cause many collisions due to their inability to see clearly, control their bodies, and react quickly. It’s unfortunate that other drivers and passengers are at risk of being seriously injured due to the reckless actions of intoxicated drivers.
Other common causes of overnight accidents are drowsy driving, distracted driving, and poorly lit roads.
