San Angelo, TX (September 22, 2019) A black Dodge Charger crashed into the Concho Valley Transit District building on the morning of September 22nd. The Dodge smashed into the entryway facing 5th Street just before 1:00 a.m.

The San Angelo Police Department along with other emergency responders rushed to 510 North Chadb0urne  Street to assist everyone involved. A man and a woman were carried out on stretchers and rushed to Shannon Medical Center for treatment. According to the surveillance footage, the two injured victims were not occupants of the Dodge.

The police believe intoxication and speed were contributing factors.

Our thoughts are with the two injured victims and their families at this time. We wish them both a full recovery.

Hit-And-Run Car Accidents in Texas

San Angelo, TX – Car Crashes Into Building On N Chadburne Leaves 2 InjuredThe reason almost 800,000 hit-and-run accidents happen annually in the United States is that drivers avoid responsibility for their negligent actions. When drivers are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, they’re more likely to cause accidents, break laws, and flee the scene as they’re unable to think rationally under those circumstances. Unfortunately, this reckless behavior puts innocent people at risk of sustaining serious, life-threatening injuries.
