Mabank, TX – Two Killed in Fire on Co Rd 4015

Mabank, TX (September 24, 2019) – A tragic fire on County Road 4015 left two women deceased.

On September 23, just before 3:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a house fire in the 15000 block of Kaufman County Road 4015.

According to reports, a house caught on fire for unknown reasons. As the fire burned through the home, 41-year-old Tina Mercer attempted to save her disabled mother after rescuing her infant child.

After Mercer re-entered the home, she was unable to get back out. Both Mercer and her mother were trapped inside.

Crews later found Mercer and her mother inside the home deceased.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
