Baylor County, TX – 1 Killed and 1 Injured in Car Accident on Hwy 114
Baylor County, TX (September 28, 2019) A woman lost her life on the night of September 26th when she was involved in a fatal car accident.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a woman, 35-year-old Kristine Florez, was traveling westbound on Highway 114 when she attempted to make a u-turn and head back northbound. During the turn, she collided with another vehicle at the intersection of US 114 and FM 1790.
Florez’s SUV spun into a ditch as a result of the crash. The other vehicle, driven by 25-year-old Ronald Hargrove, ended up striking a utility pole. Fortunately, Hargrove was able to exit his vehicle before it caught on fire.
When crews arrived to assist at the scene, they found both drivers injured and rushed them to nearby hospitals.
Florez succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital. Hargrove is reported to be in stable condition.
The accident is still under investigation.
