Smith County, TX – Shane Simmons Killed in Vehicle Accident on CR 285

Smith County, TX (September 28, 2019) One person lost their life in a fatal vehicle accident on the morning of September 27th. A driver operating a 2008 Ford F-250 was traveling east on County Road 285 when the Ford swayed and crashed into a Ford F-150 that was headed west. The two vehicles collided at approximately 10:36 a.m.

When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the driver in the Ford F-150 deceased at the scene. He has been identified as 56-year-old Shane Simmons of Whitehouse. The driver of the other Ford has been identified as 43-year-old Eric Golemback of Tyler.

The accident is currently under investigation.
