Car Accidents in Texas
Recent studies show that annually around 6,500 accidents involve ambulances throughout the nation. Around 29 of these accidents prove to be fatal, producing about 33 fatalities per year. No matter what kind of vehicles are involved in an accident, the cause is usually negligent driving. When paramedics receive an emergency call, they often speed through traffic in order to quickly get to their destination. If other drivers do not yield or stop their vehicles, they may end up in the path of an oncoming ambulance, which could lead to a major collision.
