Victoria, TX – Four Killed in Collision on TX-185 near Canal Rd

Victoria, TX (September 30, 2019) – On September 29, emergency crews responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on TX-185.

According to reports, at approximate 1 a.m., 37-year-old Evelyn Acosta and 29-year-old Juan Carlos Zavaleta-Corado were traveling southwest on SH-184 when their vehicle collided with a 1995 Chevrolet 350 PU.

Both Acosta and Zavaleta-Corado sustained fatal injuries in the collision and were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Two individuals inside Chevrolet, who were identified as 37-year-old Lupe Baladez and 50-year-old Isabel Baladez, both sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.

A third occupant of the Chevrolet, 20-year-old Rogelio Rodriguez, sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized at Citizens Medical Center.

At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
