Montague County, TX – Collision on US 82 Results in Fatal Injuries

Montague County, TX (October 4, 2019) – On October 2nd, at approximately 11:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US 82.

According to reports, 50-year-old Steven Anderson was traveling along US 82 when his vehicle was struck by a pickup truck, driven by Cheryl Johnson.

The impact of the collision sent Anderson’s vehicle into a ditch along the right side of the roadway. Johnson’s vehicle came to rest in the middle of the roadway before catching on fire.

Anderson was airlifted from the scene of the incident to Medical City Denton. Authorities confirmed that he later succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
