Calhoun County, TX – Collision on US Highway 35 & TX-185 Results in Injuries

Calhoun County, TX (October 9, 2019) – On October 8, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 35.

According to reports, around 7:30 a.m., a 2020 Dodge Ram, driven by 34-year-old Erik Michael Reyes, was traveling south on Highway 35. As the vehicle passed through the intersection of State Highway 185, it collided with a 1999 Ford F-150 driven by 28-year-old Jose Ramiro Hinojosa and a 2017 Chevrolet pickup, which was driven by 54-year-old Joe D. Davis.

Reyes and his passenger, 43-year-old Ruben Arriaga Jr., were both transported to Citizens hospital in Victoria for treatment.

Hinojosa sustained critical injuries and was transported via medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann hospital for treatment.

At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
