Hays County, TX – Geraldine Wilcox Hylander Killed in Crash on FM 973

Hays County, TX (October 15, 2019) – A collision on Farm to Market Rd 973 resulted in fatal injuries.

At approximately 10:15 a.m. on October 14, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on FM973.

According to reports, 80-year-old Geraldine Wilcox Hylander was traveling east along the roadway in a Chevy Impala when a westbound Freightliner crossed over into her lane.

The Impala was struck head-on by the Freightliner. Hylander sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
