Polk County, TX (October 15, 2019) – On October 8, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Farm to Market Rd 2969.
According to reports, a female was traveling along the roadway, on horseback, when she was struck by a Ford Mustang.
The driver of the Mustang fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
Both the woman and her horse were injured in the collision.
At this time, police are investigating the accident.
