Hawkins, TX – One Killed in Collision on E Front St
Hawkins, TX (October 25, 2019) – On October 25, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on East Front Street.
According to reports, a 17-year-old driver was traveling west along the roadway in a Fiat when his vehicle collided head-on with an 18-wheeler in the 300 block of E Front Street near Pine Street.
The two occupants of the Fiat were trapped inside and had to be extricated by responding crews.
The 18-year-olf female passenger of the Fiat sustained fatal injuries. Authorities pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The teen driver was critically injured and rushed to an area hospital for treatment.
At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
