Austin, TX – Lydia Quintanilla Killed in I-35 Crash

Austin, TX (October 30, 2019) – Police have identified the victim killed in a collision on I-35 earlier this month.

On October 10, at 11:32 a.m., the Austin Police Department reported to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate Highway 35. According to reports, a 2005 white Toyota Sienna van was traveling north along I-35 when it made a turn onto Stassney Lane.

As the van turned, it collided with a red Nissan Altima and a brown Chevrolet van.

Two occupants of the Toyota Sienna were injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

One passenger inside the Toyota Sienna, who was later identified as 77-year-old Lydia Quintanilla, sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

Austin Police Department’s vehicular homicide unit is currently investigating.
