Longview, TX – Resident Injured in Retirement Community Fire on N Eastman Rd

Longview, TX (November 1, 2019) – A fire in the 1900 block of North Eastman Road left one person injured.

At approximately 2:10 p.m. on October 31, emergency crews responded to the scene of a fire at the Colonial Village retirement community located at 2910 North Eastman Road.

According to reports, a fire broke out at an upstairs apartment in the facility for unknown reasons. Longview firefighters removed an injured victim from the apartment.

The victim, whose identification has not been released, was rushed to Medical City Plano for both smoke inhalation and burns sustained in the fire.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
