Lubbock, TX – 2 Killed and 1 Injured in Car Accident on E 50th St

Lubbock, TX (November 2, 2019) At approximately 2:29 a.m. on November 2nd, a fatal collision happened at the intersection of East 50th Street and East Loop 289. According to reports, a Dodge pickup truck was traveling eastbound on 50th Street while a black Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling northbound on East Loop 289 right before the collision occurred.

Emergency crews arrived and found two people inside of the Chevy pickup truck dead at the scene. The driver of the Dodge sustained serious injuries and was rushed to UMC for immediate treatment.

The LPD Major Crash Unit is currently investigating the fatal collision.

Our thoughts are with the families of the two deceased victims at this time. We also wish the injured driver a quick recovery.
