San Antonio, TX – Gavin Walence Killed in DUI Accident on I-35

San Antonio, TX (November 2, 2019) On the morning of November 1st, a deadly car accident happened at the 14600 block of Interstate 35 North. According to reports, a man was driving his vehicle on the highway when he hit barriers and ended up about 100 yards past the exit ramp before his vehicle came to a stop.

Another vehicle rear-ended his vehicle, which caused him to eject onto the highway where he was run over by oncoming vehicles.

When emergency crews arrived, they found the man dead on the highway. He has been identified as Gavin Walence. The fatal collision happened at about 3:00 a.m.

Authorities are currently investigating the accident, but they believe the driver of the other vehicle, 25-year-old Violeta Martinez, was under the influence at the time of the crash. She has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.
