Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accidents
Over 700,000 hit-and-run accidents happen every year in the United States. Most of the time these accidents occur late at night when drivers don’t think they’ll get caught by authorities. Drivers are typically under the influence at the time of the crash or have a recent criminal history, which is why they attempt to flee the scene. However, when drivers are caught, they end up facing more charges than they would had they just remained at the scene.
Because these accidents are a clear act of negligence, drivers should be held financially responsible for all injuries sustained.
At The Benton Law Firm, we are constantly working on behalf of our clients to help them win their personal injury lawsuits. Drivers who flee the scene without rendering aid should be completely responsible for all medical bills, lost earnings, and more.
