Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accidents
Studies show that the number of hit-and-run fatalities has increased every year by 7.2 percent since 2009. Studies also show that the majority of these fatalities involve pedestrians. Drivers often strike pedestrians and flee the scene when they’re under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Under those circumstances, drivers are not thinking rationally and are unable to make sound decisions or control their vehicles.
It’s unfortunate that innocent victims are negatively impacted by the recklessness of other drivers.
