Lavon, TX – Collision on TX-78 Leaves 4 Students Dead
Lavon, TX (November 6, 2019) – An evening collision on State Highway 78 claimed the life of four students on Tuesday.
At approximately 5:45 p.m. on November 5, emergency crews rushed to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on State Highway 78.
According to reports, a pickup truck and a work van collided head-on along the roadway in front of the Bentley Farms subdivision.
Two male and two female students from the Community High School were fatally injured in the collision.
Three people inside the van sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The Lavon Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
