UPDATE: Denton, TX – 3 Killed and 3 Injured in 5-Vehicle Accident on I-35

Denton, TX (November 9, 2019) Two semi-trailers and three passenger vehicles were involved in a fatal collision that happened on November 8th.

According to reports, somehow the five vehicles collided on Interstate 35 near the University of North Texas. Because the semi-trailers carried tanks of propane, the impact of the collision caused the tanks to explode. The accident happened at about 1:30 p.m.

When emergency crews arrived to help, they found three people deceased as a result of the crash. Three other victims were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Crews shut down the northbound lanes of the highway as they investigated and cleared up the damaged vehicles. The highway was closed between Farm-to-Market Road 2449 and Interstate 35E for hours.

Our thoughts are with the families of the three deceased victims, and we wish the other three injured victims a complete recovery.
