UPDATE: Weslaco, TX – John Jesus Dominguez Killed in Head-on Collision on US Business 83

Weslaco, TX (November 9, 2019) On the afternoon of November 7th, a major vehicle collision occurred in the 500 block of east US Business 83. According to surveillance footage, some suspects in a black passenger vehicle attempted to rob someone in another vehicle and even shot at the vehicle before the driver was able to flee the scene.

Unfortunately, as the driver attempted to get away from the robbers, he swerved into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with another vehicle.

Emergency responders received the call at about 12:15 p.m. and rushed to the scene. Sadly, they found the victim of the attempted robbery dead in his vehicle. He has been identified as 59-year-old John Jesus Dominguez.

The Weslaco Police Department is currently investigating the fatal collision and searching for the suspects responsible for shooting and attempting to rob Dominguez.
