Kountze, TX – Christopher Lloyd Rhodes Killed in Train Accident Near Hwy 69
Kountze, TX (November 10, 2019) Authorities are investigating a fatal accident involving a man on his bicycle and a train. According to reports, the accident happened on the night of November 9th at about 9:00 p.m. The man was riding his bicycle when the train hit him near Highway 69.
The train company, BNSF Railway, called emergency responders and reported that their train hit a pedestrian. The man was pinned underneath the train until first responders were able to extricate him. They rushed him to the nearest hospital via ground ambulance. Unfortunately, he died at about 6:00 a.m. this morning. He has been identified as 36-year-old Christopher Lloyd Rhodes.
Authorities are still investigating to determine what caused the fatal collision.
