Flint, TX – Ted Welden Young Killed in US-69 Collision
Flint, TX (November 14, 2019) – The victim killed in a collision on US Highway 69 has been identified by police.
Just after 12:30 p.m., on November 12, 79-year-old Ted Weldon Young was traveling through the intersection of US Highway 69 and County Road 1215, in a 2004 Chevrolet van. His vehicle collided with a 2000 Chevrolet van, driven by 28-year-old Michael Christopher Menard.
Menard sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Young was rushed to UT-Health Tyler in critical condition. Authorities confirmed that he later succumbed to his injuries.
At this time, police are investigating the collision.
