Austin, TX – Matthew James Almasi Killed in Burnet Rd Crash
Austin, TX (November 21, 2019) – Just after 7 p.m., on November 18, emergency crews responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident in the 5800 block of Burnet Road.
According to reports, 26-year-old Matthew James Almasi was traveling north along Burnet Road, on a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, when his vehicle was struck by a gold 1997 Honda Odyssey minivan.
Almasi was ejected from his motorcycle, incurring extensive injuries. The injured victim was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas where he succumbed to his injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation by APD’s Vehicular Homicide Unit.
