Houston, TX – 1 Killed in Aldine Westfield Rd Crash

Houston, TX (November 21, 2019) – A collision on Aldine Westfield Road left one victim deceased.

On November 18, at approximately 6:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 9800 block of Aldine Westfield Road. According to reports, 25-year-old Sergio Montenegro was traveling along the roadway, in a white Chevrolet Suburban, when he struck a male bicyclist in the southbound lane.

Montenegro then fled the scene without stopping to render aid.

The bicyclist was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was declared deceased.

Montenegro was subsequently arrested and charged with Intoxication Manslaughter and Failure to Stop and Render Aid.

The incident remains under investigation by the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division at this time.
