Vehicle Accidents in Texas
Nearly one million hit-and-run accidents happen every year throughout the United States. Drivers who flee the scene without rendering aid are usually people with recent criminal histories or people who fear losing their jobs, especially if they’re driving commercial vehicles at the time of the crash.
Drivers who flee the scene of an accident are liable to face prison time and pay large fines, especially if the accident caused others harm. Those involved in a hit-and-run accident should immediately seek legal assistance from an experienced Texas personal injury lawyer.
At The Benton Law Firm, we believe negligent drivers should be held financially responsible for medical bills, car repairs, and more. When drivers fail to drive responsibly and then attempt to leave the scene of an accident, they’re committing a double negligent act and they need to be held financially accountable for their careless actions.
