Houston, TX – Space Heater Fire on Terry St Injures 2
Houston, TX (November 25, 2019) – Just before 4:30 p.m., on November 23, the Houston Fire Department and various other crews responded to the scene of a house fire in the 2200 block of Terry Street.
According to reports, a space heater in the home caught a male’s shirt on fire, resulting in 3rd-degree burns. The fire then spread through the rest of the structure. A male inside the home was able to drag the injured man out of the home to safety.
As firefighters were extinguishing the fire, an explosion occurred. The explosion caused the glass to burst out of the windows, striking a firefighter. The injured firefighter was transported to Memorial Hermann TMC for treatment to back injuries sustained from the glass.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
