Port Neches, TX – 3 Hurt in Work Explosion off TX-136 Spur
Port Neches, TX (November 27, 2019) – An explosion at the TPC Group Plant in Port Neches left three victims injured on Wednesday.
Around 1 a.m., on November 27, an explosion occurred at the plant, which is located at 2102 TX-136 Spur, involving a processing unit.
A major evacuation order was issued to all workers in the plant and individuals within ½-mile of the plant.
In total, three workers were injured in this explosion. One worker was treated at an area hospital and released. A second worker remained hospitalized with a broken arm. A third victim was airlifted from the scene of the incident to a hospital in Houston with serious burns.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
