Houston, TX – Fernando Gonzalez & 2nd Man Killed in Gulf Freeway Crash
Houston, TX (November 28, 2019) – A pedestrian accident on the Gulf Freeway claimed two victims’ lives on Saturday.
At approximately 1:10 a.m., on November 23, authorities were notified of a tragic collision on the Gulf Freeway.
According to reports, a Nissan Versa stalled in the HOV lane of the freeway. As the vehicle rest along the roadway, it was struck by a Nissan Altima.
Both drivers exited their vehicles, in an effort to meet up and exchange information with one another. As the two victims stood near the vehicle, they were struck by a speeding Toyota CHR.
One of the victims was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities later identified one of the victims as Fernando Gonzalez.
The driver of the Honda, who was identified as 27-year-old Lupe Longoria, was arrested and charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter.
At this time, police are investigating.
