Pedestrian Accidents in Texas
In 2018, over 600 pedestrians lost their lives in Texas after being hit by vehicles. Sometimes pedestrians are seen walking on highways after their vehicles malfunction, which is why it’s important for drivers to always be aware of their surroundings, even in the most unlikely places. When drivers are distracted, they risk not seeing pedestrians until it’s too late for them to stop or yield. Because most drivers are traveling at speeds of 50 mph or higher on highways, pedestrians are likely to sustain serious injuries upon impact.
Those who were not at fault for causing an accident can file personal injury lawsuits to cover medical expenses. At The Benton Law Firm, we assist injured victims with filing claims and we help them prove negligence so they can win large settlements to assist with financial needs.
