Ector County, TX – Saul Pina ID’d as Victim of University Blvd Crash

Ector County, TX (December 5, 2019) – The victim killed in a horrific high-speed chase on Sunday has been identified by police.

On December 1, authorities were attempting to arrest 48-year-old Bryan Madsen. Madsen evaded police, leading them on a high-speed chase down University Boulevard. As Madsen sped down the roadway, his vehicle struck a second vehicle as it was exiting the parking lot of a Lowes.

The driver of the second vehicle, who was later identified as 69-year-old Saul Pina, was rushed to Medical Center Hospital where he was declared deceased.

Madsen was arrested and charged with evading arresting causing death and evading arrest causing serious bodily injury.

At this time, police are investigating.
