Trinity County, TX – Daren Putnam Injured in Bike Accident on FM 356
Trinity County, TX (December 5, 2019) – At approximately 7:30 p.m., on December 3, authorities responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Farm to Market Road 356.
According to reports, 30-year-old Daren Putnam was traveling along the roadway, on a bicycle, when he was struck by a 2013 Dodge Journey, which was driven by 31-year-old Bobby Ray Shepherd.
Shepherd fled the scene of the incident without stopping to render aid. He was later apprehended and charged with third-degree intoxication assault resulting in serious bodily injury, failure to stop and render aid, felony evading arrest, and misdemeanor resisting arrest.
Putnam was injured in the collision and transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center for treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
