Lumberton, TX – Bre Barker Killed in Bicycle Crash on US-69 (US-287)
Lumberton, TX (December 9, 2019) – A fatal bicycle accident claimed one victim’s life on Friday.
At approximately 9 p.m., on December 6, authorities responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on US Highway 69. According to reports, 26-year-old Bre Barker was riding a bicycle down the roadway when she was struck by a pickup truck near West Chance Cutoff.
Barker was rushed to CHRISTUS Hospital St. Elizabeth. Unfortunately, authorities declared her deceased at approximately 10 p.m.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
