Amarillo, TX – 1 Injured And 1 Killed In Fatal Collision On U.S. 87

Amarillo, TX (December 14, 2019) On the afternoon of December 13th, a fatal collision occurred on U.S. 87, four miles south of Dumas. According to reports, a woman was traveling in her vehicle on U.S. 87 and was rear-ended–pushing her vehicle into the center median and causing it to roll over.

When emergency crews arrived, they found the woman dead in her vehicle. She has been identified as 23-year-old Ariel Spidell of Dalhart. Her passenger sustained injuries and was rushed to University Medical Center in Lubbock for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the other vehicle did not sustain injuries.

The collision is still under investigation by authorities.
