Grimes County, TX (December 15, 2019) On the afternoon of December 14th, a pickup truck driver lost control of his vehicle and struck a woman on Highway 90. According to reports, firefighters were already at the scene of another crash near Marl Lane when the incident occurred. The pickup truck driver swerved off of the highway to avoid crashing into stopped vehicles but ended up striking a woman who was standing on private property. Right before the woman was hit, she pushed a small child out of the way.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene and found the woman suffering from a broken leg. They rushed her to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment.
Authorities are still investigating the accident to determine why the pickup driver lost control of his truck.
Our thoughts are with the injured woman and her family at this time. We wish her a quick recovery.
