Rusk County, TX – Antonio Garcia Killed in 2-Vehicle Collision on SL-571

Rusk County, TX (December 15, 2019) On the evening of December 14th, a fatal two-vehicle collision happened on SL-571, almost three miles away from Henderson. According to reports, a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe was headed north on the road when the driver fell asleep, causing the vehicle to veer across the roadway and collide with a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport.

Sadly, the driver of the Mitsubishi died at the scene. He has been identified as 62-year-old Antonio Garcia of Henderson. The driver of the Hyundai, 50-year-old Marshall Lee Tucker, and his passenger, 42-year-old Tonya Marie Tucker, both sustained serious injuries and were taken to UT-Health in Tyler for treatment.

The police are still investigating the fatal collision.
