Decatur, TX – 1 Killed And 6 Injured In Car Accident On FM 730

Decatur, TX (December 21, 2019) A fatal two-vehicle collision happened on the morning of December 21st.

According to reports, a 2007 Cadillac Escalade was speeding on a wet road and crossed into the northbound lane. A 2019 Ford F-150 pickup truck was unable to brake in time and struck the Cadillac on its passenger side.

The accident happened on FM 730, not far from County Road 4181 at around 9:40 a.m.

The 20-year-old driver of the Escalade was ejected onto the road and sustained injuries. A 14-year-old passenger also sustained injuries, and a 47-year-old passenger lost her life. She has been identified as Manuela H. Pedroza. The paramedics rushed the two injured individuals to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The 37-year-old driver of the F-150 and a 31-year-old passenger both sustained critical injuries. The paramedics transported them to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth for treatment.

Authorities are still investigating the collision.
