Pedestrian Accidents in Texas

El Paso, TX - Vehicle Hits And Injures Man On Gateway EastThere are a few reasons why hundreds of pedestrians are hit by vehicles every day in Texas. The leading cause is negligence, which comes in many forms. Using a cell phone, putting on makeup, eating, conversing with passengers, and drunk driving are all examples of negligence. Other causes of pedestrian accidents include night time driving, which is when roads are poorly lit, making it harder for drivers to see pedestrians. Another cause is hazardous weather, especially if drivers are experiencing hazardous weather at night. No matter the circumstances, drivers are still expected to be responsible and look out for pedestrians even in the most inopportune places.

At The Benton Law Firm, we help injured pedestrians file personal injury lawsuits as long as they did not contribute to the accident. We understand how expensive medical treatment can be, and we believe our clients should not have to pay out-of-pocket if they had the right-of-way at the time of the crash. We have helped thousands of clients win large settlements to assist them with medical bills.
