Lufkin, TX – Train Accident on Southwood Dr (FM324) Results in Fatal Injuries

Lufkin, TX (December 25, 2019) – One person lost their life in a train accident on Southwood Drive on Christmas.

On December 25, just before 12:20 a.m., authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Southwood Drive just outside of Loop 287. Reports indicate that a woman was traveling down a private drive when her SUV was struck by a train.

The woman incurred fatal injuries in the collision and was immediately declared deceased at the scene.

At this time, police are investigating.
