El Paso, TX – Alonso Carlos Chacon ID’d as Gateway East Victim
El Paso, TX (December 26, 2019) – The pedestrian struck on Gateway East has succumbed to his injuries.
On December 21, just before 9:30 p.m., authorities responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 8000 block of Gateway East.
According to reports, 36-year-old Alonso Carlos Chacon was attempting to cross from the northbound side of the roadway when he was struck by a 2017 Chevy Sonic.
Chacon was rushed to an area hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that Chacon succumbed to his injuries on December 24.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
