Lufkin, TX (December 26, 2019) – One woman lost her life in an accident on Southwood Drive.

Just after 12:15 a.m., on December 25, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Southwood Drive.

Reports from police indicate that a woman in an SUV was traveling down a private drive when she was struck by a train.

The driver of the SUV, who was identified as 52-year-old Sherri Johns, incurred fatal injuries in the collision and was declared deceased immediately.

At this time, police are investigating.
