Galveston County, TX – 1 Killed & 2 Hurt in Crash on High Island Bridge (TX-124)

Galveston County, TX (December 27, 2019) – At approximately 7:35 a.m., on December 27th, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on State Highway 124. According to reports, two vehicles collided head-on along the south side of the High Island Bridge.

One driver involved in the collision was rushed to the University of Texas Medical Branch for treatment. The victim was declared deceased upon arrival.

A female passenger inside one of the vehicles was rushed to Christus Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth in serious condition.

The driver of the second vehicle was seriously injured and rushed to the University of Texas Medical Branch for treatment.

At this time, police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
