Pedestrian Accidents in Texas
Thousands of Texans lose their lives every year in pedestrian accidents. Unfortunately, most of these accidents are caused by negligent drivers who aren’t aware of their surroundings. When drivers look away for a few seconds, that’s enough time to accidentally strike a pedestrian who is crossing the street. Sometimes pedestrians walk in unmarked crosswalks, but drivers are still expected to yield and not run them over. Drivers are expected to be extra cautious at night, which means no speeding and using cell phones. At night, pedestrians may wear dark clothing and walk outside of marked crosswalks, which is why drivers have to be careful at all times.
