Silsbee, TX – Arthur Simmons Killed in US-96 Collision
Silsbee, TX (December 30, 2019) – The driver killed in a major collision on US Highway 96 has been identified by police.
On December 21, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a silver Toyota SUV and a 2000s-model gray Chevrolet 4 passenger vehicle collided along US Highway 96 at the intersection of Nerren Drive.
The driver of the Toyota, who was identified as 83-year-old Arthur Simmons, incurred fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
One 76-year-old female passenger inside the SUV was injured and transported to Christus St. Elizabeth for treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
