Lumberton, TX – Woman Struck & Killed on US-96 (S Main St)
Lumberton, TX (January 1, 2020) – A pedestrian accident claimed the life of one woman Tuesday evening.
At approximately 7:54 p.m., on December 31, the Lumberton Police Department was called to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Highway 96.
Reports from police indicate that a 30-year-old female was attempting to cross the highway, at the intersection of East Boardwalk, when she was struck by a 2019 Nissan Kick SUV.
The woman sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was immediately declared deceased at the scene.
At this time, police are investigating.
