Harris County, TX (January 3, 2020) – On January 3rd, at approximately 2:45 a.m., authorities responded to the scene of a major automobile collision.

Reports indicate that a Harris County Patrol car was stopped at the intersection of Farm to Market Road and Veterans Memorial Drive when it was struck by a Mercedes sedan. The impact of the collision sent the vehicle into the intersection where it was struck by a Ford Taurus.

The officer inside the vehicle was injured and transported to a local area hospital for treatment.

At this time, police are investigating. However, they believe the driver of the sedan was intoxicated.
