Fort Worth, TX – Firefighter Burned At Wilson’s Bar-B-Q
Fort Worth, TX (January 4, 2020) On the afternoon of December 4th, firefighters responded to a call regarding a BBQ restaurant that had caught on fire. The accident happened at around 2:30 p.m. at Wilson’s Bar-B-Q in East Fort Worth.
When firefighters arrived, they helped put the fire out but one of the firefighters sustained first-degree burns all over his hands and face during the process. The paramedics rushed him to Parkland Hospital for treatment. His identity hasn’t been released but officials confirmed that he is 27 years old.
Authorities are still investigating the accident, but they believe the smoker door was left open, which caused the fire to spread to the back of the building.
Our thoughts are with the injured firefighter and his family at this time. We wish him a complete recovery.
