Lubbock, TX – 2 Injured In Car Accident On FM 1585
Lubbock, TX (January 4, 2020) On the afternoon of December 4th, two vehicles crashed into each other on Farm-to-Market 1585 and Highway 87. According to reports, an SUV was traveling south across the intersection on the west side of the highway while a black pickup truck was traveling east on FM 1585. Somehow the pickup truck’s brakes failed, which caused it to collide with the SUV.
When paramedics arrived, they found the driver and passenger of the SUV injured. They were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The accident is still under investigation by the Lubbock Police Department.
Our thoughts are with the two injured victims at this time. We wish them both a complete recovery.
Car Accidents in Texas
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, about 2 percent of all car accidents that occur in the United States are caused by mechanical problems. Out of that 2 percent, 22 percent of them are caused by brake failure. When victims are injured in collisions caused by faulty auto parts, there may be more than one liable party. Therefore, it’s important for injured victims to seek help from an experienced Texas personal injury attorney to help them pursue all liable parties for proper compensation.
At The Benton Law Firm, we understand that there may be multiple parties liable for a single collision, which is why we take the time to thoroughly review our clients’ cases, gather evidence, and go after all potentially liable parties. We have helped numerous injured victims receive compensation from all responsible parties after being injured in accidents they weren’t at fault for.
