Pedestrian Accidents in Texas

Port Arthur, TX – 1 Injured In Pedestrian Accident On Rosedale AveIn 2018, there were nearly 8,000 pedestrian accidents in Texas. Most of the time pedestrians are hit by distracted, fatigued, or drunk drivers, especially if they are hit between the hours of midnight and 6:00 a.m. However, there are some instances where pedestrians may accidentally contribute to being hit. Although drivers are expected to be aware of their surroundings at all times, especially at night, if pedestrians wear dark clothing in poorly lit areas, they make it harder for drivers to see them.
